EXPRESS Non-Invasive Prenatal Paternity Test

The DNS Center’s non-invasive prenatal paternity test allows for determining whether the alleged father is the biological father of the unborn child (fetus).

This test can be conducted after the 7th week of pregnancy, using a blood sample from the mother and a buccal (cheek swab) sample from the alleged father. This process determines if the alleged father could be the biological father of the unborn child (fetus).

Results are ready within 6-8 business days from the sample’s arrival at the lab.

No fetal sample is taken!

Based on the result, the test can exclude a man as the father with 100% certainty if he is not the biological father. For the actual biological father, the test provides a probability greater than 99.9%. This way, it can be conclusively determined whether the tested individual is the father of the unborn child.

If there is insufficient fetal DNA in the maternal blood sample for the test, the sample collection will be repeated at no additional cost, and the laboratory will attempt to extract the fetal DNA again.

However, it may happen that even after repeated attempts, fetal DNA cannot be extracted from the maternal blood sample. In this case, the laboratory cannot provide a result. Based on our experience, this occurs in only 1-3% of cases. If this happens, the full amount paid will be refunded, so the client is not financially at risk if the test cannot yield results.

How is the test conducted?

The test requires three samples:

1. Maternal Blood Sample and Buccal Sample: A blood sample is collected from the mother. This blood sample contains both maternal and fetal DNA, which the laboratory analyzes. The buccal swab is used to determine the mother’s DNA, which the lab separates from the blood sample to isolate the fetal DNA.

2. Paternal Sample: A buccal swab sample (cheek swab) is collected from the alleged father, which is analyzed to compare with the fetal DNA.

The results are ready within 6-8 business days after the samples arrive at the lab.

Accurate and Safe Results

This test uses the latest technology, allowing the determination of biological paternity safely and quickly without invasive procedures.

• 100% Probability of Exclusion: If the test shows that the alleged father is not the biological father, paternity can be excluded with full certainty.
• 99.9% or Higher Probability: If the test confirms that the alleged father is the biological father, it does so with a probability of over 99.9%.

What happens if there is insufficient fetal DNA in the blood sample?

On rare occasions, the maternal blood sample may not contain enough fetal DNA for the test. In such cases, the sample collection will be repeated at no additional cost, and the laboratory will attempt to extract the required DNA again. If, after several attempts, sufficient fetal DNA cannot be extracted (which occurs in only 1-3% of cases), the lab cannot issue a result.

In these cases, the DNS Center refunds the entire test fee, so clients do not face financial loss if the test cannot be completed successfully.
