The cheapest option — as in many other areas — is not the best solution when it comes to paternity testing either.
The result of a paternity test forms the basis for life-changing decisions — therefore it is very important that the laboratory entrusted with carrying out the analysis operates at appropriate quality and is verifiable. Internet providers often offer intermediary services — in case of a problem or question, it is difficult for the customer to get directly in touch with the laboratory that actually performs the test. For this reason, it is essential that we know the exact name and location of the laboratory carrying out the analysis.
It is equally important whether the laboratory holds the appropriate certifications and accreditations. This is necessary so that we can be confident that the laboratory carries out its work in compliance with applicable laws and regulations, that the methods, equipment, and personnel used for the analysis are adequate, and that they are unconditionally fit for the task.
Below we present the documents proving the certifications and accreditation of our laboratory.
ISO 17025-2005 accreditation (DAR: D-PL-18779-01-00) for forensic genetic activity. This accreditation means that our activity fully complies with the German Gene Diagnostic Act.
The laboratory's quality management system is operated according to the ISO 9001 (EN ISO 9001-2008) standard — our audited certificate number is 12 10053897/06.
