Non-invasive (no fetal sample collection required) prenatal paternity test.
The test requires a blood sample from the mother and a saliva sample from the alleged father.
It is possible already after the completed 7th week of pregnancy.
All laboratories commissioned by DNS Központ hold every official authorisation required to perform the test, and participate in the quality assurance systems necessary to ensure maximum accuracy; their activities are also regularly inspected by the health authority of the given country.
The current choice of laboratory is determined essentially by the speed of the service, meaning we send the collected sample to the location where we expect to obtain the result the soonest.
Additional options
- Express test (for an additional fee!) — the laboratory issues a result within 4 working days!
- DNA-based determination of the fetus's sex (for an additional fee!) — possible with both the standard and the Express test.
The sample for the test can be taken at the earliest after the completed 7th week of pregnancy, in the 8th week — in the case of the expectant mother, by a simple blood draw. For the alleged father we use an oral mucosal cell sample, the collection of which can be carried out even earlier, using the sampling sticks we send out, so that the person being tested as the alleged father does not even need to be present at the sampling.
From the mother's blood sample, the laboratory extracts both the maternal and the fetal DNA molecules, then compares these with the DNA prepared from the sample taken from the alleged father. We exclude paternity with 100% certainty, and confirm the probability of paternity with an accuracy of 99% or higher. If no fetal DNA can be detected in the mother's blood sample, we repeat the sample collection free of charge, and the laboratory attempts to extract the fetal DNA again.
It may happen, however, that despite repeated attempts, no fetal DNA can be obtained from the mother's blood sample. In such cases, the laboratory cannot issue a result. Based on our experience to date, the frequency of this is less than 2–3%.
Our office handles the organisation of the sample collection. The sample collection consists of a simple laboratory blood draw, in which the mother must participate. The sample from the alleged father can be taken either at the same time as the maternal sample or beforehand; in the latter case, on request, we can send the sampling device by post in advance. We carry out sample collection discreetly, even at the customer's home, in rural areas — subject to a call-out fee (for our current prices, please consult our webshop). Either of the parties involved in the test, or even both, may remain anonymous, without having to provide their name or other personal details. In this case, it is advisable to set up in advance an e-mail account to which the report can be sent, and which does not compromise the maintenance of anonymity.
If repeated sample collection is required and the parties subsequently withdraw from the test, we refund the full amount paid.
Length of the test
